New airport near Byndoor, Udupi!

This report in a Kannada newspaper states Byndoor near Udupi, Karnataka may get an airport of its own soon. Byndoor is some 100kms from Mangaluru, nearest airport and close to various attractions such as Kollur Mookambika Temple, Ottinene sunset point, Padukone, Karwar etc.

Report only says the idea of an airport is being conceived and ground inspection is being done. The process of constructing an airport may take 3-4 years. Hopefully more airlines will show interest to fly to Byndoor from Bengaluru, Goa and other major airports.
