VietJet Hanoi Osaka flight from November

Vietnam’s VietJet, popularly known as Bikini airline has announced direct flight between Hanoi and Osaka Japan from November 8, 2018

Though booking to Osaka hasn’t been opened yet, at present it is possible to fly to Seoul (a distance similar to Osaka) for about 85 USD one way during promo. Keeping this fare as reference, I expect it will be possible to do a return trip to Japan from Vietnam for about 180-200 USD (INR 14000), which is a great deal.

Below is a regular Eco fare to Seoul ICN from Hanoi- promo should be much cheaper. I am expecting Osaka fares to be similar.

A flight to Japan from India costs around 16k to 20k INR at its best (Air Asia sale) and 40-50k under normal conditions without any sale or in full service airlines.  It might be a good idea to club Vietnam and Japan trip in one and take advantage of Vietjet’s promo fares to Japan, as and when it is made available. If Vietjet can offer Hanoi-Osaka return for around 200 USD, you can book India- Vietnam for about INR 11-15k (During AirAsia sale)- thus in about 30k you can visit both Vietnam and Japan

VietJet was also said to begin India operation soon, but the exact dates are not known. Delhi flight is said to be to Ho Chi Minh City, not Hanoi. It might even be possible to fly Delhi -Osaka, Delhi-Seoul super cheap once India operations begin. At present Vietjet only offers very few connecting flights on its network.
