Europe’s new Low Cost Airline- Level
Europe based IAG group, that operates British Airways,
Iberia and Vueling has launched a new airline in record time. The airline is
called “Level” and its website flylevel.com is already operational. Level is
scheduled to begin flights out of Austria (Vienna) from July 17th,
2018, flying to 14 European destinations in the early phase. First set of
flights will be to Palma (Spain) and London Gatwick. Level is said to have got
four Airbus A320 from its parent group for its initial operations. Level will
compete with EasyJet and RyanAir with super cheap fares. Level’s starting fares
are expected to be less than 25 Euros one way.
Level is being launched in record time- from concept to execution. Being part of a large airline group has helped I guess.
Level’s official website- flylevel.com is already up and
running. However, at present for any destination I try, the website was
directing me to partner airline websites- of Iberia, Vueling etc, even for
Vienna-London Gatwick flight late July.
Hopefully once fully operational flying to Europe from India
might get a bit cheaper- if we can fly BA to London and fly to final
destination on Level. But at present BA flies to London Heathrow from most Indian
cities while Level flies out of Gatwick.
